Abu Dhabi Airport Fly To Any Part Of The World With Ease

The capital of the United Arab Emirates is Abu Dhabi. The main airport of the country is situated here and established in 1982. Airline services are operated to all the inhabited continents from here in 85 destinations in 49 countries by the 53 airline companies. The IATA code is AUH and ICAO code is OMAA.

Etihad airways dominates a large area of the Abu Dhabi Airport. About 12 million and more passengers are served by this airline in a year. It is the second largest airport in The United Arab Emirates.

An area of 60 sq. km covers the airport. It has three terminals 1A, 1B and 2 and has plans to expand. With this the capacity of the passenger service will increase to 20 million per year and gradually to 40 million. The design of the airport is such that it allows more aircrafts to park at one single time.

With the completion of the project the airport will have remote aircraft stands and the handling capacity will be real huge. It is the hub for the Etihad Airways and Rotana Jet.

Different international and domestic airlines operate their flights from this airport. Apart from Etihad the airline companies that operate the flights are Sri Lankan Airlines, Oman Air, Cedar Jet, and many more.

Initially the airport had only one terminal and after the addition of the two terminals the main terminal does not have to bear all the pressure of the outgoing passengers and the incoming passengers. Everything is streamlined to allow smooth flow of passengers in and out.
